Love is an involuntary feeling that a person feels for a person, thing, or for any matter. It comes in as a long-term commitment to something. It is popularly known as a romantic feeling, but it can be found in many other relationships as well. Care is an emotion that expresses concern for something or someone.

In simple words, it means feeling protective about something. Care can be for a known person as well as for an unknown one. Love is a profound feeling. If to be asked from person to person, they would all have a different definition for the word. For a general meaning, it can be said that Love is a feeling that makes a person deeply affectionate to another person, a group of people, an animal, or anything really.

The feeling of care is deprived of any emotion like desire or attraction. However, care is an essential part of love. We care about things or the persons we love. It is essential to remember that loving someone also denotes that you care for them, but if you care for someone, it does not mean that you love them. Love and care are the two different emotions or feelings. The difference between them is based on their intensity and nature.

Care is showing concern for somebody. You feel concern for strangers as well. For example, imagine that a little girl is crying alone in the middle of a street. You involuntarily move towards the girl to help her.

This is because we care. Comparatively, love is more long-term commitment while care is a more short-term commitment. Furthermore, love is an involuntary action while care is not an involuntary action.

Based on the nature of the relationship, love has a personal relationship attribute since it is felt mostly to one specific person whereas, in care, a personal relationship is not necessary since you can care about someone with whom you do not have a personal relationship. Love and caring are very much interconnected. Therefore, many people tend to misinterpret these two emotions. The difference between love and care is that love can only be felt towards a special person in your life while caring can be felt by anyone even towards those whom you do not personally know.
