Why does zevran betray me

By ejoslin - Mon May 17, am. Better if you don't want to romance him, just be decent to him. No need to flirt, and get your approval up high enough so he asks about the future. Once you have that conversation, provided you're decent to him, he won't betray.

I just don't think there's anything wrong with how she's written, and there's nothing gratuitous or incoherent about her behavior.

Similarly, Alistair is also just a very young and inexperienced person. He works great as the companion to another novice in the Wardens. The condescending remarks about people who like him are very silly too which might also be a cultural thing?

As to his "betrayal", it could easily be reframed as the Warden betraying him instead, by sparing the man who killed his half brother as well as his father figure and only family. I don't see it as childish at all. I'm not against the decision of recruiting Loghain, but I'd never blame Alistair for rejecting it. I also don't see how Loghain would be "better" than Alistair when he No, I agree with those takes on Morrigan: I just don't like how the game does not acknowledge her flaws and, instead, presents her as this "hot shit" and how fans treat her as one of the coolest characters when she really is not.

Otherwise, yes, what you said is correct and true. Loghain is a good fighter, good leader, good strategist and a good leader: he just needed someone to knock sense back into him. But, above all else, he knows how to do bad things for duty: Grey Wardens are not good guys.

If they need to kill a child to stop Blight, they will. Any Grey Warden that won't is a bad Grey Warden: Alistair idealized them too much, while Loghain sees it for what it is, a final duty. I think that's like, your perspective, so I won't say it's wrong , but I disagree since like I said, I myself always saw her as this person who is young and inexperienced and just trying to cover that by acting like a smartass.

Also, thinking she's the coolest character or not is totally subjective, right? What's the problem if some people think that? So you mean "a better Grey Warden", and not just "better" overall?

My issue was just with saying a dude who literally sold people into slavery was better , as a whole, than a young novice warden who helped prevent the Blight while being pro-helping everyone on his way. I'm not super fond of the "will do anything to prevent the Blight" because DAI shows that, Wardens being human, there's interpretations of that directive that will go very badly lol But sure, overall I agree that Alistair idealizes them too much.

He was pretty much adopted into the Wardens, so I can see why he would though. No, what I said is that the game presents her as the coolest character, focusing on her "cool" aspects and ignoring her flaws, and that players often tend to utterly ignore or forget such flaws about her.

I mean, I think that Loghain is better overall but that is subjective. However, the fact that Loghain is a better Grey Warden is pretty objective, yeah. And, I mean, Alistair might've not been selling elves into Tevinter but, in Darkspawn Chronicles, he killed the Dalish in favor of getting the werewolves. So, to say that Alistair is pro-helping everyone is not exactly right. I mean, yeah, if you are ready to do anything but also is stupid, you will eat shit.

But I was pointing out how Alistair is too morally good or too personally invested to take the hard choices when need be. The fault of Grey Wardens in DA:I wasn't that they did demon magic but that they allowed themselves to be deceived.

Alistair, Morrigan and Leliana are the best party I've had in the entire franchise. The best. The most striking. I love the 3. He strikes me as a Xander Harris type, which always rubs me the wrong way. But there's always Oghren to remind us what a truly awful person is like! Oh yeah, totally. The friendship between femWarden and Morrigan felt a whole lot better and more realistic than the romance between maleWarden and Morrigan.

Ironic how 2 bi romance options in the game are better than 2 straight romance options. Yeah Morrigan and Alistair are both pretty dumb. But they're both pretty young so it makes sense.

That said I always laugh when someone tries to say Morrigan is pragmatic. No she's not in DAO. She's just stupid evil most of the time. This is why I mentioned the blood magic bit. It was clear that Bioware wanted to write her as the "morally evil" companion but there is a difference between being pragmatic and morally uncaring Shale, for the most part, or Zevran, for the most part, or hardened Leliana and, you know, just being a stupid cunt, which is how Morrigan comes off half the time.

Yeah there's so many points where I'm just "you catch more flies with honey Like just how she treats Alistair says it all. If you're a fem PC she absolutely needs him for her OGB but she takes every step possible to make him not trust her whatsoever.

I never have recruited loghan not even sure how, but I also don't use Alistair or Morgan for my party, why would I when I have my friends and trusty dog. You gotta jump through some hoops but it is not that hard to recruit Loghain. Alistair just has to marry Anora, leave and become a hobo or die.

Okay, I gotta ask, why does everyone hate Oghren so much? Like, he does come off as crusty asshole half the time, true, but he has his moments. I like Alistair in the same way I like a colleague. He's kinda an idiot but he just seems Nothing wrong with him but not super interesting either.

Morrigan just infuriates me because if you do play more of a paragon Warden she looks down on you for helping people.

Until you help her-. Respond to her dialogue in ways she will approve, give her the necklace you find in Lothering, give her the necklace you buy off Bodahn in camp. You can kiss her before leaving Lothering if you want. I also kill Flemeth because dragon fights are fun. In DA2, you meet Flemeth during the destruction of Lothering. There are four companions who can be romanced. You can do it if you want. I romanced Morrigan, Zevran, and Leliana in one playthrough.

Morrigan first while I romanced Leliana, dumped Morrigan for Leliana, and slept with Zevran on the sly. In an interview I read, one of the developers said he was able to sleep with all three in one night at camp.

You can only marry him and become Queen-consort if you are a Female Human Noble. Top Voted Answer. Ancient mythology tells us that the Morrigan can appear as a crow, raven, wolf, eel, beautiful young woman, or gray-haired hag. In the Tain Bo Regamna she is described as a red-haired woman dressed in a red cloak. Morrigu is strong and fierce, her hair dark, her body lean.

I romance him most playthroughs, and usually as a mage. He really does care about Hawke and it shows in both how the character reacts to things and the voice acting. You can still flirt with Anders and have him come to your estate after Fenris walks out on you.

At that point, you can choose to move forward with Anders, or you can reject Anders to keep romancing Fenris. But if you sleep with isabela or fenris, you can still romance anders or merrill. Also, if you sleep with isabela before you do fenris you can still romance fenris.
